After an inspiring, exciting and sometimes annoying season, "Top Chef 5" ended Wednesday with a disappointing finale. For those who've stumbled on this site and haven't yet watched the finale, I will hold off on revealing names until a later post. I was extremely, extremely disappointed with the winner. As someone who values skill and intelligence when it comes to cooking, I felt the winner came up way short. I didn't think the judges took into consideration the overall performance by the chefs when making their final decision. I agreed with Gawker's write-up on the season finale.
